Inner Awareness Exercises
developed by Bhashkar Perinchery:
Total Dancing:
Dance is one of the most natural and easy
bridges to a state of intensity and receptivity. Being total,
inwardly undivided, a state, in which we feel at home, we
experience joy and a oneness with life.
Total dancing happens, through giving oneself into dancing
spontaneously and wholeheartedly, like a child, which out
of joy and pleasure dances to whatever music. Put all achievement
and goal-orientation aside and go fully into the moment,
celebrating and rejoicing in the dance itself.
After the dance we are resting in silence,
just to be.

Guided Inner Letting Go - VIHAP
Deliberately not holding onto or identifying
with any particular role or goal, relaxing into a state
of being nobody in particular. Observing also
on a physical level, we can see that exhaling deeply is
complimentary to inhaling deeply. In the same way, getting
familiar with our nobodyness creates the right
foundation for a healthy way of being with our somebodyness.
In our daily life, by through different roles and goals
we are dealing with the area of somebodyness.
As we become aware of the role of these polarities in our
life, it becomes possible to be with this interplay of being
somebody and being nobody in particular.

Silent Sitting
Like most of the meditation
methods it is of a neutral nature and can be practiced by
everyone irrespective of their cultural and religious background,
without coming into conflict with it!
The thoughts and feelings, which might
arise during the silent sitting, are simply to be allowed
to pass by without engaging ourselves with them. Not going
into them nor struggling against them, we just stay quietly
in touch with the natural flow of breath. While sitting,
we stay with the remembrance that during this period we
are not going into the world of the many, but connecting
to the source, connecting to the roots, connecting to the
essence consciously. This is a time we are taking to consciously
be with the energy, with the now - to be with the purity
of this moment.
No Silent Sitting the morning after every full moon meditation night.

Flowering of the Heart
In this gentle exercise, movements and
soft humming are coordinated with the natural cycle of breath.
In our modern times the approach to life has become very
calculating and the emphasis in life is as if it were all
a matter of winning and losing. The result is that in every
area of life the human connections have become more and
more business like, and so the contact to the treasure of
the heart is lost. With the Flowering of the Heart Exercise,
one deliberately opens to the quality of receiving, including
and allowing life energetically. Thus we allow nature to
bring about a harmony within us, enabling an awareness of
the deeper beauty and interrelatedness of life.

Flowing with Musical Expression
This exercise is about allowing
yourself to create tones similar to those of a child, who
does not have any particular image of songs or singing,
but simply plays with different sounds.
This is a beautiful chance to flow with the energy and to
be in the moment. It is important to not control oneself
or to hold back, but to allow the free flow of expression.

The Inner Metamorphosis
Exercise
The Inner Metamorphosis Exercise is a
method designed to purify our inner energy. Our imagination
plays an important role on how we perceive the reality.
That which we imagine, and how we go about our thoughts
and energy, influence and decide, to a great extent, the
quality of our individual lives as well as the life process
around us!
In this exercise we let the inhalation
and the exhalation become a purification process, not only
on the body level, but on the energy level as well. When
we are ready to let go of all our pain, all our sadness,
all our bitterness, all our anger, all the negativity that
we carry, this exercise will provoke a deep inner clearance.

Feldenkrais (Awareness Through Movement)
The Feldenkrais Method uses a practice of body awareness as
a means to attain a higher degree of freedom in our lives.
Recognizing and observing our habitual patterns of moving,
standing, sitting, interacting and so forth, we begin to discover
unknown options, enabling us to act with more ease and grace
where before we were stuck in rigidity and pain.
The Feldenkrais Method uses gentle movements, enabling all
age groups to participate.
Group classes, called Awareness Through Movement, are verbally
guided explorations, whereas individual sessions, called Functional
Integration is a hands-on method.

Tribal Belly Dance Class
Tribal Belly Dance
taught by Jatare will follow the fusion, model of
American Tribal Style(ATS) moves. Fusion is defined
(by Hipnotic) as: Moves developed outside the realm
of ATS influenced by multiple other dance forms such
as modern, jazz, Flamenco, African, Bhangra, and Latin.
Classes will be structured with
a 5 - 10 min warm up, have 20 - 25 min of slow vocabulary,
20 - 25 min of fast vocabulary and a 5 - 10 min cool
down.

What makes ATS Special?
American Tribal Style is a style performed as a group, totally
improvised. Instead of improvising a solo or learning an
entire choreography, students learn a basic set of moves,
or vocabulary. The fundamental vocabulary is relatively
unchanged from troupe to troupe. Beginning students could
easily get up and dance with other troupes, performing only
the basics.
Because of the troupe dynamic,ATS style
encourages community and communication between the dancers.
It is a perfect setting to have fun, discover your inner
goddess and meet some incredible people.
