LIFESURFING a journey towards inner peace and joy offered by the INNER METAMORPHOSIS UNIVERSITY - CHICAGO
LIVING A NEW QUALITY OF LOVE AND FRIENDSHIP

It is very valuable for the healthy development of a human being that we grow up with perspectives and visions which help us to be aware of more than that what is obvious. Our modern developments, however, based on a power and controlling approach, overemphasize the obvious, logical, and rational side. Thereby, the poetical and sensible side, which can reveal the wondrous, deep and fulfilling beauty of life and love, gets suppressed.

You can compare it with a tree. The visible, obvious aspects are like the trunk and leaves of the tree, and invisible, hidden aspects are like the roots. The tree can flower and bear fruits only when the roots are well nourished.

Take up clear commitments in life. Consciously take responsibility for yourself and be ready to learn and discover what life is really showing.
Those friends who connect with me, with a commitment and initiative to look deeper into life, call me FIL. Not only does the expression FIL refer to the aspect of being a "Friend of Inner Light", but it is pointing to something else as well. The letter F stands for "Freedom", I for "Intelligence" and L for "Love."
Freedom is primarily to learn using the mind, but not being enslaved and dominated by it. If we can prevent this enslavement from happening, then our intelligence and love can be lived optimally.

Each of the letters in the word 'Life' also are symbolic. 'L' for 'Love', 'I' for 'Intelligence', 'F' for 'Freedom' and 'E' for 'Expansion'. In this sense we need to be life-oriented. That means to consciously saying "yes" to life.

I have some concrete suggestions for all those who are ready to consider another word. 'Adoption' is a word that has great value. Adopt another human being, who needs help in one way or another and whom you can help. For example, adopt an elderly person who may be lonely like your grandmother or grandfather, mother or father. There are many elderly people who are practically closed up in some of the old people's homes or are living more or less alone. Look in your neighborhood for someone that you may "adopt" and go about it very sensitively with an honest commitment and readiness. You can also adopt a child in a similar manner without you calling it 'your' child or having any rights to it. Adopt a brother, or adopt a sister, but go about it in a very responsible and sensitive manner. Look what underlying feelings are in you and go with consciousness into it. Decide to set aside some time, like twice a week or three times a week, to be with the person. Maybe take that person out for a walk, take them out for dinner, or invite them to your home. This provides a graceful opportunity to bring a little more joy and beauty into life.

My recommendation to everyone in this important period of transformation is to take a lot of care to use your logical and calculative mind cautiously and carefully. Use it in service of love and life, but also be very aware that if you let the logical part overtake your life blindly, it will be destructive towards you and indirectly serve the destruction of humanity and life on this planet. I am not saying this to sound dramatic, so do not take it as a burden, but recognize the fact that we are in a very significant period of life on this earth, where the individual has a much greater responsibility than ever. The old structures are falling apart and a new, more conscious and loving basis can and needs to happen with a greater chance for the best of love and creativity in each of us, in every area, to manifest.
